Tech Savvy Seniors - DCJ

Tech Savvy Seniors course is a fun digital skills session for seniors and is funded through the NSW Government Department of Communities and Justice.

Introduction

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The program delivers training to seniors who have had limited or no previous experience in using computers and for those who need additional help in developing their digital literacy skills.  The program also aims to promote social connection with family and friends and engagement in the community.



COURSE DELIVERY
The course consists of 5 sessions to be held over a 5 week period. One (1) session will be held each week and will be a 2 hour duration.

During this course you will learn about:

  • Introduction to computers
  • Introduction to the internet
  • Introduction to email
  • Sharing photos and other attachments online
  • Introduction to video calling

LICENCING AND REGULATIONS
N/A

ENTRY REQUIREMENT
Student Eligibility includes seniors who:
  • have little or no experience in using technologies;
  •  need additional skills and confidence to use and adapt to new technologies
 
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
If you have one bring your own Smartphone, Tablet, Ipad or computer



STUDENT FEE
The program provides free training (refer to entry requirements) to assist older people to develop their digital  confidence.
