WRCC provides a range of nationally recognised and industry-accepted first aid training for workplace and individual requirements. Our First Aid courses are delivered by experienced trainers in a supportive and practical classroom environment, whether refreshing your certificate or completing training for the first time.

Course in First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis

Anaphylaxis
This course teaches the skills for participants to identify the triggers, signs and symptoms of allergic reactions, including Anaphylaxis.  It will assist teach the participants to develop risk management and risk minimisation strategies for Anaphylaxis and how to provide a first aid response in an emergency situation.




 

CPR HLTAID001

HLTAID001

This Cardiopulmonary (CPR) course provides the skills and knowledge required to perform CPR in line with Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

This CPR course  is delivered in the first 2.5 hours of the First Aid training or can be delivered as a standalone face to face class. Please refer to WRCC course timetable for session times.

Soon we have some updates coming for our First Aid Courses. This is because the national regulator for Australia’s training providers has made a few changes to the first aid units. These updates have been made to reflect industry best practices. The First Aid courses offered by WRCC are still fully recognised and industry-accepted. 

​This course has been superseded, however you can still enrol in the course as it still addresses the required qualification and industry standards and is still valid until 15/10/2021.

Provide Advanced First Aid HLTAID006

HLTAID006

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to provide an advanced first aid response, including management of the incident and other first aiders, life support, and how to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines until the arrival of medical or other assistance.

This course is suitable for workers who may be required to provide, coordinate and manage a first aid response across a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.

These updates have been made to reflect industry best practices. The First Aid courses offered by WRCC are still fully recognised and industry-accepted.

Provide Advanced Resuscitation HLTAID007

HLTAID007

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to provide advanced resuscitation and use specialised equipment in the provision of resuscitation in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.

The course is suitable for workers who may be required to use specialised equipment such as a bag-valve device or oxygen resuscitation system to provide resuscitation in a range of complex situations, including community and workplace settings.

Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting HLTAID004

HLTAID004

This course is designed is for those who work or wish to work in the childcare industry and educators or support workers in the education and care setting. The First Aid Children’s Services course is for people who do not currently hold a current First Aid Children’s Services credential.
 
This First Aid Children Services course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response and this includes asthmatic and anaphylactic emergencies.

These updates have been made to reflect industry best practices. The First Aid courses offered by WRCC are still fully recognised and industry-accepted. 

This course has been superseded, however you can still enrol in the course as it still addresses the required qualification and industry standards and is still valid until 15/10/2021.  Upon completion you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment including the codes HLTAID0001, HLTAID002, HLTAID003 & HLTAID004

Provide First Aid HLTAID003

HLTAID003

The First Aid course is for people who do not currently hold a current First Aid credential. This First Aid course provides the skills and knowledge required to provide first aid response, life support, management of casualty(s), the incident and other first aiders and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines until the arrival of medical or other assistance.
